AAFS launched a new program in 2024 to assist individuals in employment preparedness. Within the first few months, our workforce development caseworker assisted 90 people with job preparation, including resume writing, applying to jobs, and job placement. Additionally, our case worker is in contact with companies that need to hire workers and can sometimes help refer clients to employers.
If clients need help learning English, the AAFS English teacher assists students with ESL classes and one-on-one tutoring. In the future, AAFS has plans to help clients with interview prep, and will create training videos on additional job preparedness skills.
