Last weekend, AAFS attended The Art of War Benefit, a day-long event supporting Palestine, Lebanon, Sudan, and Congo. The event celebrated Chicago artists’ activism, and honored people who lost their lives in war. A bazaar featuring Palestinian businesses and organizations kicked off the day, followed by an art exhibition, a film screening, and ended with a concert with several live performers.
“It was great to see the artistic community come together to heal,” said Nareman Taha, co-founder and executive director of AAFS. “We are proud of the artists, and those who amplify the voices of courageous people working to preserve life and dignity worldwide.”
