ComEd Offers Temporary Changes to Residential Hardship Program

Recently, ComEd announced changes to their Residential Hardship Program. Now through December 25 only, seniors will not have to provide proof of additional hardship, such as loss of employment, loss of spouse, illness or income, in order to be eligible for the program.
Arab American Family Services will help senior apply for this program.
In response to concerns regarding higher than usual electric bills, earlier frigid weather and how it affects our senior population, ComEd is providing customers with additional options to help manage their bills.  The grant will continue to be available to those who have not received a grant in the last two years. The grant amount remains at up to $1500 and it does not matter if your service is connected or disconnected. Benefits only apply to past due amounts only and participants must still show proof of Social Security and photo identification.
If you have any questions, or want to apply, please give us a call at (708) 599-2237, or visit us at the office.
