At Arab American Family Services, we take pride in the fact that we never judge our clients for what is happening in their lives. Rather, our goal is to advance and better the lives of our clients. We take our time with each client by providing a thorough assessment to ensure that we offer them all the benefits they are entitled to. We educate them on every benefit and what to expect, all the while, treating them with dignity and respect.
To us, our clients are real people with real stories. They are not a number.
Our clients always feel comfortable and welcomed at the AAFS office! We try to bring out the best in people and make them recognize and focus on their strengths.
Recently, a 65- year-old client came to AAFS in need of new, public benefits. He was unaware of all the benefits he was actually qualified for. We use an online tool called BenefitsCheckUp, which would provide all the services and benefits he qualified for.
He had been nervous about the new costs associated with Medicare Part B and Medicare Part D premiums, and was nervous about having to purchase a Medicare supplement, which would cost him so much, considering he was already low-income. With hard work and dedication, we were able to help him get all those costs covered by the state and federal assistance. There was no need to purchase a Medicare supplement health insurance or any Medicare prescription drug coverage. All that was covered!
He was also able to apply for discounts on his license plate and getting a free bus pass for public transportation. He was so excited and grateful.
This is what makes AAFS a one-stop-shop for all your needs. Our clients serve as a life lesson for us. We always say they are a window to our future and they reshape our way of thinking.
At AAFS, we are blessed to be working with our clients who inspire us and guide us to a better way of thinking.
Our clients come to us seeking help during their time of need, all the while, they do not realize they serve as a reminder of how blessed we are to have their stories change the way we look at life. And that is the most rewarding part of our job.
