Welcome, Adeeb Odeh, AAFS’s new Clinical Director. Adeeb has been in the mental health field for over 12 years, and has worked in many different settings, from adults with disabilities, to schools, to hospitals. Hiring Adeeb and starting the clinic are both part of the Behavioral Health Grant through the Cook County Health Grant – Stronger Together.
“We are happy to be creating a team of dedicated mental health staff who are culturally competent and attuned to the needs of the community while also providing high quality mental health services including Individual, family, and group therapy,” said Adeeb. “There is a stigma around mental health within our community. But the things we experience are not unique to any group of people. We all struggle, and we all need help from others because nobody is made to do everything on their own. We are happy to work with you, to learn where you are, and how we can help.”
Welcome, Nancy Bouchari, AAFS’s new Director of Human Resources.
“With over 20 years of experience in Human Resources and Operations management, and as a proud Arab American, I bring a seasoned perspective on building effective teams, fostering inclusive work environments, and driving organizational growth,” said Nancy. “I joined AAFS to align my skills with a mission-driven organization that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of Arab Americans. I am passionate about making a positive impact, and there’s no better place to start than by building strong internal teams to support our dedicated staff who work diligently to serve our community. My goal at AAFS is to create a supportive, empowering environment that enables us to best serve our clients and advance our mission.”
