We had a great turn-out for our 17th annual walk to support survivors of gender-based violence, and cancer. Thank you to everyone who participated, including State Representative Mary Gill, and our fantastic MC, Marwa Sammi.
“Thank you to everyone who turned out to support AAFS!” said Nareman Taha, co-founder and executive director at AAFS. “We want to recognize the work of our Domestic Violence supervisor, Sabrina Makhamreh, and all of our staff for their hard work in organizing the walk. Our mission is to help our community members live healthier, more dynamic lives, and to bring healing and support to those in need. Between July 2023 and June 2024, AAFS served 710 clients who were impacted by gender-based violence and sexual assault. We are so grateful to everyone willing to help us support these families, and our community members who are impacted by cancer.”
