Arab American Family Services had the pleasure of being part of the U.S. Department of State International Visitor Leadership Program.
The topic discussed was Anti-Radicalization & Combating Violent Extremism Among Youth for Community Organizations: A Project for Canada.
The objectives for the program was to learn about current work being done in the U.S. with youth organizations and the community groups with youth susceptible to radicalization. They also learned about countering violent extremism programs in the country by supporting the developmental aspirations of youth.
The members had a chance to learn about ways to promote interfaith dialogue, conflict resolution and freedom of expression within their activities.
