AAFS Symposium on What it Means to be an Arab American Woman

ARABAMERICANFAMILY SERVICESPRESENTS
Arab American Family Services intern Radia Mchabcheb is making strides in the Arab community. As part of her fellowship program, Radia will be hosting a symposium at the University of Illinois at Chicago called Nissa: What Does It Mean to Be an Arab American Woman.
Nissa is meant to act as a forum/open space for young Arab American women to come and discuss issues they feel need to be addressed in their community. Often times, Arab American women are being underrepresented as far as social issues, politics, and basic advocacy. Our voice needs to be heard and we need to have an active “seat at the table.”
It is a free and informal meeting, and snacks and water will be available! Bring friends and an open mind. Non-Arab women are more than welcome to come in solidarity!
The meeting will be help at UIC’s Behavioral Sciences Building. Room: BSB 140.
