AAFS Reflects on the Last Day of Domestic Violence Awareness Month

On this final day of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Arab American Family Services is reflecting on the many events they participated in over the month to support the victims and family members of domestic violence.
We began the month with a blurb on Radio Islam 1450 AM, discussing domestic violence. AAFS also made purple ribbons in support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month which were passed out to local hospitals, schools and police departments. They also had a blurb at a local church to speak up against domestic violence.
All these events led to the AAFS 7th Annual Walk in Faith not in Fear domestic violence and cancer awareness walk. The event drew hundreds of sponsors and supporters who came together for one reason, to show their support to all victims and family members who have battled these two, life changing diseases.
And on this final day of National Domestic Violence Awareness month, the staff of AAFS united to wear purple, and show our support as one.
Thank you for everyone who supported this cause and helped AAFS raise awareness for everyone effected by domestic violence.
