Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County (CEDA) is expected to announce the date to apply for LIHEAP benefits.
When the date is announced, Arab American Family Services will be your one-stop-shop to apply and get the assistance you need. For those who will be applying, please bring the following documents with you to ensure your application is complete and correct:
Applicants need the following forms:
- ID for the person applying for CEDA
- Social Security cards for EVERYONE in the home
- Income for the last 30 days for everyone working at home:
- Check stubs
- SSI Award Letter
- Any other type of income
- If there is no income, then you need to fill the CEDA letter of support form; that form is available at the AAFS office
- The latest electricity and/or gas bill
- If you pay rent, then get the rent receipt or lease. If you own your home, please bring your mortgage information
