Beginning August 4, Arab American Family Services will kick off their Back to School Drive where they will be collecting school supplies and book bags for low-income families. The drive will run until August 9. The actual drive will take place on Monday, August 11.
Families that qualify for supplies include those who are low income or families taken care of by single mothers. The size of the family is also a qualification requirement.
Anyone interested in dropping off supplies and book bags can do so Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. All donations will be accepted and appreciated. For more information, please call (708) 599-2237.

- Three ring binders – 1” 1-1/2”
- Crayons
- Markers – washable
- Color pencils
- Rulers
- Backpacks
- Planners
- Scissors
- Construction paper
- Elmer’s glue
- Glue sticks
- Notebooks
- Notebook paper for 3 ring binders
- Kleenex boxes
- Hand sanitizer
- USB flash drives
- Gift cards for school uniforms: Target, Walmart, Kohls
- Gift cards (Target, Wal-Mart, Costco, Giant Eagle, Gas Cards)
