AAFS to Join DePaul University for Violence Discussion

Itedal Shalabi of Arab American Family Services is proud to be a panelist at DePaul University’s College of Communication symposium entitled “Making Meaning of Violence.”
The first annual event hosted by DePaul will be on April 14 and 15, 2014.
Faculty, students and guests will be on hand to discuss different aspects of violence and the work being done by the university and various communities, to address the issue.
The event will discuss a range of approaches and perspectives of violence.
Itedal Shalabi will be presenting on Monday, April 14 at 1 p.m. at the Student Center on 2250 N. Sheffield Ave. in Chicago. She will be discussing  AAFS’s experience and research on the topic of violence and discuss strategies that are in effect to handle all different forms of violence.
Admission is free and open to the public.
