Arab American Family Services will take part in a Syrian Refugee Fundraiser hosted at the St. Mark Lutheran Church on 11007 S. 76th Ave. in Worth, IL on Saturday, March 29 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
The event is sponsored by St. Mark Lutheran Church, along with The Social Action Committee of the Beverly Unitarian Church and the Southsiders for Peace and Unity in Diversity.
To date, their have been over 9 million Syrians to become refugees. The fundraiser hopes to help supply food, housing, education and healthcare for those affected.
The fundraiser will feature a Middle Eastern style dinner, along with music, speakers, raffles and an auction.
