Many grade school children struggle day in and day out, when it comes to certain subjects in school. Some may feel ashamed to ask for help, or suffer in silence when the work gets too hard.
That is why Arab American Family Services established the Student Success Tutoring Program, a partnership with VISTA and AmeriCorps to help tutor children in grades 3rd to 8th, who might need that extra push to get them through that algebra assignment, or math homework. Or if your child is struggling in reading, or in social studies or science, please send them our way to help get that extra push toward success.
The purpose of this program is to give Arab American students the help they need to successfully complete their assigned homework.
We will help identify students weaknesses in school as well as design homework strategies that students can successfully apply, whether its on a homework assignment or that big exam.
AAFS is also interested in having United States veterans apply for the opportunity to tutor students, one on one.
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a tutor, or may need tutoring assistance, please give us a call at (708) 599-8229.
